What changed
XM says ETF CFDs are now available on eligible MT5 Standard or Ultra Low accounts. The announcement highlights underlying ETFs associated with broad equity, gold and bond exposure.

Why this matters for research

ETF CFDs can provide one-instrument exposure to a basket or theme without purchasing units of the underlying ETF. XM's partner announcement cites examples linked to the S&P 500, gold and the US bond market, and says the range can span sectors and economies including the United States, Japan, Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

This is a CFD product update, not an invitation to buy an ETF. A CFD is a leveraged derivative and does not provide ownership of the underlying fund. Costs, leverage, overnight financing, instrument availability and the legal entity serving a client can materially affect suitability.

TVG view

The update strengthens XM's research relevance for visitors who prefer MT5 and want broader multi-asset access. It does not change TVG's jurisdiction filter: XM remains excluded where its published restrictions apply, and users should confirm that the specific ETF CFD is offered to their account and region before trading.

Risk reminder: CFDs are complex leveraged products and can result in rapid losses. Diversification of the underlying ETF does not remove CFD leverage, financing or counterparty risk.
